Credit Reports

How to obtain your credit report

There are several major credit reporting agencies. Use the table below to obtain copies of your credit reports.

If you have to choose just one credit report, I would go with the Fair, Isaac & Co. version. The FICO score is used by lenders to determine creditworthiness.

Fair, Isaac & Co. myfico.com $12.95 for an Equifax credit report and your personal FICO score. My favorite.
Trans Union www.transunion.com $9 for credit report, FICO-like credit score, and explanation of who has requested your report in the past.
Experian Information Solutions experian.com
(866) 200-6020
$9 for credit report. Also provides information about how long items remain on the credit report.
Equifax equifax.com
(800) 685-1111
$9 for credit report.

Most people recommend checking your credit reports annually. This allows you to correct errors before they matter.
